Echoroom is all about progress and improvement, the dream has always been about adding a big sense of achievement to what is going on and to make talent come alive.
Radio play itself is a massive area and the impact can be amazing and thrilling, compared to gigs the power of radio can hit out to the masses in a quicker amount of time.
At the moment for other acts and myself we are getting play between 150-300 plays a week which is very pleasing.
Radio is the biggest area that I cover and have been able to make this work with all the projects I am involved in.
In order to build a buzz about your project it is best to also gig as much as possible, as well as build up press reviews and Magazine features/interviews. TV play is an effective way to add to your publicity as an act, and to increase awareness of what you are about as an artist. The more myspace hits and song sales the better and hence bigger you become within the industry.
Record label wise and management etc is an open book as far as what you want to do. It's possible to do this on your own release and manage yourself via self promotion. Alternatively you as a Musician may just what to focus on purely that and let others take the controls more for you.
